A consultative meeting was held at the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation headquarters in Baghdad, chaired by Engineer Walid Al-Saadi, President of the Federation, and attended by members of the Executive and General Body, as well as a select group of sport leaders.
The meeting discussed important topics related to administrative affairs and the challenges facing the Federation. Attendees were briefed on the latest developments, and the floor was opened for discussion among all stakeholders, recognizing the importance of stakeholder participation in making crucial decisions regarding the future of the sport.
The meeting concluded with the adoption and voting of several decisions, most notably:
- Requesting the Iraqi National Olympic Committee to recognize the results of the previous elections held on November 11, 2022, as legal, based on the decision of the Iraqi Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center, the decision of the Karkh Execution Court, and the letter from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
- Rejecting the formation of an interim body to manage the Federation from outside the General Body, in compliance with Iraqi laws and the regulations of the International Gymnastics Federation, and affirming respect for the will of the elected General Assembly.
