Mr. Khaled Qibyan, First Vice President of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee and Advisor to the Prime Minister for Sports Affairs, attended the Gymnastics Training Centers Championship, which was held in Baghdad and sponsored by the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation in Samir Khammas Hall.
Where, Mr. Ghabian expressed his great admiration for the level of the tournament and the players participating in it. He stressed the Olympic Committee’s full support for all sports federations in Iraq, including the Gymnastics Federation. He stressed the Olympic Committee’s commitment to resolving any problems facing sports federations.
For his part, Engineer Walid Al-Saadi, President of the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation, welcomed Mr. Ghabian’s visit and expressed the Federation’s executive body’s gratitude for the continued support from the Iraqi National Olympic Committee. He explained that the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation is striving to advance the sport of gymnastics in Iraq and build strong national teams. He stressed that this championship and other championships come within a joint plan and curriculum between the Federation and the Federation’s technical committee to develop the game.
