A delegation from the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation participated in the General Assembly meeting of the Arab Gymnastics Federation, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, from the 6th to the 8th of this month, with the participation of representatives from Arab national federations.
The meeting addressed administrative and organizational matters related to the development of gymnastics in the Arab region, in addition to holding elections for the new Executive Committee.
The election results saw Engineer Weled Al-Saedi, President of the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation, elected as Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Gymnastics Federation, a move that reflects confidence in Iraq’s role within the Arab sports system.
Furthermore, Jordanian Saleh Al-Ghuwairi was elected President of the Arab Gymnastics Federation, with participants emphasizing the importance of continuing joint efforts to develop the sport and enhance its presence in regional and international forums.
