As part of the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation’s endeavor to enhance cooperation and coordination with all national and international departments, federations, clubs and sports bodies, Engineer Walid Al-Saadi, President of the Federation, visited the Sports Medicine Department. During the visit, he met with Dr. Radwan Al Kindi, Director General of Sports Medicine.
The talks between Engineer Walid Al-Saadi and Dr. Radwan Al-Kindi focused on enhancing joint cooperation in the field of health care for athletes. The importance of establishing an effective mechanism to maintain the health of athletes and providing them with the necessary support through the provision of specialized sports medicine services was stressed.
The talks also addressed the fight against doping in sports. The need to adopt a comprehensive strategy to combat this harmful phenomenon and raise awareness of its harm to public health and the reputation of sports was stressed. The importance of joint cooperation between the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation and the Sports Medicine Department in this regard was emphasized.
It should be noted that this visit comes within the framework of the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation’s commitment to strengthening strong partnerships with local and international sports institutions.
