On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, the monthly fitness tests for junior men’s and women’s teams concluded at the training center in Baghdad. These tests are held periodically to assess the players’ level and the extent to which they have benefited from the training they underwent during the month.
In this context, coach and international referee Saleh Mahdi, assigned by the Federation to supervise these tests, stated that these tests are a real test for both players and coaches, contributing to an effective assessment of the level of performance in the game.
The President of the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation, Engineer Weled Al-Saadi, also ordered the formation of a technical committee and the conduct of tests at all training centers across the governorates after the end of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, in order to prepare, develop, and qualify players for upcoming competitions.
It is worth noting that the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation has established training centers in all governorates of Iraq, in a move aimed at strengthening the national teams with players and developing the sport of gymnastics. Through its ambitious vision, the Federation seeks to achieve a qualitative shift in this sport in Iraq.
