The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Dr. Aqeel Muftan, congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee of the Iraq Gymnastics Federation following the elections held yesterday in Baghdad. He affirmed that the National Olympic Committee will continue to support the Federation’s work in the upcoming phase.
In his statement, Dr. Muftan said:
“The coming stage requires setting clear future plans aimed at advancing the sport of gymnastics and restoring it to its rightful status at both the national and international levels. The National Olympic Committee will provide all forms of support to achieve these goals.”
For his part, the President of the Iraq Gymnastics Federation, Eng. Walid Al-Saedi, on behalf of himself and the members of the new Executive Committee, expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Aqeel Muftan and the National Olympic Committee of Iraq for their efforts in ensuring the success and proper organization of the electoral process. He also commended their continuous role in supporting sports federations and promoting the overall development of the sports movement in Iraq.
