Iraq – Baghdad
The Executive Committee of the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation held its first meeting yesterday evening at the Federation’s headquarters in Baghdad. The meeting was chaired by the Federation’s President, Engineer Waleed Al-Saadi, and attended by his deputy, Professor Raed Qasim, the Secretary, the Treasurer, and all members.
The meeting discussed the Federation’s future strategy and work plans for the upcoming period, in addition to reviewing the formation and activation of committees to improve administrative and technical performance and support the Federation’s activities.
The meeting also addressed the recent elections of the Arab Gymnastics Federation, held in Amman, Jordan, in which Engineer Waleed Al-Saadi was elected as Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Gymnastics Federation. This reflects Iraq’s standing and its active role in Arab sports.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Executive Committee expressed its gratitude to all those who congratulated and supported the Federation during the election process, emphasizing that this support motivates them to continue working towards the development of gymnastics in Iraq.
