Under the supervision of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee/Iraqi National Anti-Doping Committee, an educational and developmental workshop on anti-doping was held for members of the Iraqi national gymnastics team. The workshop aimed to enhance sports awareness and promote understanding of prohibited substances and internationally recognized regulations and guidelines.
The workshop was led by international lecturer and doping control examiner, Professor Haitham Kamel, who covered several important topics. These included educating athletes and coaches, explaining permitted and prohibited substances, and discussing the ADEL certification, including how to access its courses and exams, as well as other related organizational and awareness matters.
The workshop was attended by members of the national gymnastics team, along with the financial secretary and staff of the Iraqi Gymnastics Federation.
